“Spray Safe 101” is a 30-minute presentation from Riverside Agricultural Commissioner Ruben Arroyo covering the history of Spray Safe and importance of farmer-to-farmer communication, including notification and awareness to mitigate drift and pesticide exposure. The industry is responsible for following key mitigation steps for the safety of people, crops and bees. His presentation also includes information on the use of BeeWhere as a tool for bee mitigation (updates regarding BeeWhere and the pollinator protection regulatory requirements, including BeeCheck).

Laws & Regulations Updates, Kern County

Daniel Ramirez with Kern County Department of Agriculture and Weights and Measures shares, in this 12 minute presentation, on “County Laws and Regulations Updates,” covering paraquat label changes, closed system requirements and training requirements to apply Paraquat. He also presents updates on the chlorpyrifos cancelation: items sunsetting and what to do with remaining product; and granular formulation requirements and allowances in 2021.
